Cache Is 2!

Cache turned 2 on October 14 but we were at Sea World. We celebrated his birthday last night after we got home. He had an awesome birthday. He got a basketball hoop, a football and baseball helmet from me and Mike. Drake and Madelyn gave him a mitt and ball. Grandma Julie, Grandpa Peterson and Tyra gave him 3 BYU balls and a coloring book. And, Grandma and Grandpa Simpson gave him a Cars 2 race track. It was so funny watching Cache open presents. He wasn't sure what to do. He started ripping the paper and would hand each piece to one of us to throw away. It was a long process opening presents. After his first present (the mitt and ball) he ran off to play. We showed him the next present and he reluctantly came back to open it. It was again another ball. He ran off to play with both balls and again we showed him a 3rd present. He came back a little faster and opened it. By the 4th present he'd figured it out. You could see the look on his face when it hit "If I keep opening these presents I'm going to get more balls". He was so stoked. We then had cake, well a makeshift cake. Cache doesn't really like cake but he LOVES cookies. So, I made him a giant cookie and frosted it to look like......Yup you guessed it a ball. In case you haven't figured it out by now Cache LOVES balls. The was the ultimate birthday for him. The best part was watching his face when he woke up this morning. He'd forgotten about everything and when he saw his hoop and pile of balls he gasped and yelled "Ball!!!" It was like his birthday all over again. He's such a fun boy to have. He's very passionate about things (balls and sports) and just the entertainer of our family. We love you Cache!
