BYU Bowl Game

BYU played Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl. We took Drake and met my parents and Michael and Whitney there. It was so fun to meet up with them. It was Bronco Mendenhall's last game. He took the head coaching job at Virginia. It will be sad to see him go but could be good for the program. They announced that Kalani Sitake will be the new head coach. He used to play for BYU and I think he has a lot of potential.

Unfortunately the game started off TERRIBLE!!!! Our first play was an interception run back for a touchdown. The next few plays were just as bad. Turn over after turn over. By the end of the 1st quarter it was 35-0. It was the longest quarter of my life. We eventually came back in the second half but by then time had run out. We lost 28-35. It was sooooooo painful. It hurts to lose a bowl game but even more to lose to Utah. Utah didnt score after the 1st quarter.  All of their points came from turn overs on the offense. A lot of it was just bad luck, bad bounces. We recovered though and eventually got over the tough loss. ;)
